What better way to end the year for singer Asake in 2022 as he bags his first international award.
Since signing a record deal with YBNL in 2022, Asake has had perhaps one of the most successful years, releasing his first EP, first album, and now being nominated for his first international award.
The talented singer was nominated for his first global award at the MOBO Awards, a global competition honoring black excellence. The vocalist of “Mr. Money With The Vibe” was nominated for the first time internationally in the category of “Best African Music Act” among notable performers like Burna Boy, Tems, Fireboy DML, Rema, and others.
This category would be a fan-voted category as the winner would not be announced until the 30th of November, 2022. The complete list of nominees was announced on Friday, November 11, 2022. Although it’s unclear, we may expect that the artist will perform at the occasion.
