Antonio Conte, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, has talked about the punishment the English FA meted out to him.
During a press conference prior to his team’s third league match of the year against Wolves, the Italian spoke. After the Chelsea vs. Spurs match at Stamford Bridge on August 14, 2022, Conte and Thomas Tuchel got into a fight.
Conte thinks the Football Association’s decision from Monday, August 15, 2022, was a little unnecessary. But he said that he and Tuchel will have to accept the punishments meted out to them.
‘I see that the FA made us, both coaches, more soft charge, no? And we have to accept. We have to accept and have respect for every decision. But I think sometimes this type of situation can happen. It’s not the first time, it won’t be the last time that two coaches are not in the right way or do not agree. But the most important thing is we have to move on, to have respect for each other. And for me, the situation finishes there.
Lastly, when Spurs and the Blues take on Wolves and Leeds United, respectively, Conte and Tuchel won’t be on the sidelines.
