After a string of disappointing Premier League performances, Nathan Jones’ dismissal from Southampton Football Club has been officially announced.
On Sunday, February 12, 2023, The Saints posted a statement on its official website confirming the news. The team’s lead coach Rubén Sellés will oversee practice and get the team ready for their match against Chelsea the following weekend, the club announced.
Following his appointment on November 10, 2022, the Welshman presided over 14 matches across all competitions, losing nine of them.
This streak includes four straight home losses at St. Mary Stadium and eight losses in nine Premier League contests.
