Gary Cahill, a former captain of the Chelsea Football Club, has declared his decision to stop playing the beautiful game.
On Wednesday, November 16, 2022, Cahill posted on his official social media platforms that he was retiring. The Englishman claimed that after knowing that he gave the game his all, he made the decision to hang up his boots.
Although the center back moved to Crystal Palace and then Bournemouth, he had the majority of his professional football success while he was a Chelsea player. With the Blues, he won two Premier League championships and played on the 2012 UEFA Champions League champion squad.
Additionally, he played for the PFA Premier League squad for three seasons (2013–2014, 2014–2015, and 2016–2017).
